We went to a kids' animal park today about an hour away and spent two hours walking round it and talking to ducks, rabbits, hens, pigs, horses, goat, sheep, keas, donkeys, geese, chickens, deer and anyone else who would listen.
First off was a wild ride behind the donkey.
Then, thanks to a father with foresight, fed massive rainbow trout. Later, Madeleine tried to feed the fallow deer on her own and all the feed got snatched and eaten, including the brown paper bag!
It was a great park with space to fly ...
and sit
and run.
There were bridges to cross
old homestead bars to drink in
and graceful wee waxeyes to watch.
Another grand day out.

Stagland doesn't sound like the sort of place for a family day out but the photos tell a different story! Lovely to see everyone out and about. Snow just about gone here but who knows for how long! Keep posting those photos.
